Evergreen Drift presents the first Evergreen Drift ProAm in association with the ProAm Championship series sanctioned by Formula Drift. This event is occurring in parallel with Formula Drift Round 5 ‘Breaking Point’ on Friday, August 7th and Saturday, August 8th at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington.
Monroe, Washington. – July 23, 2009 – Evergreen Drift is hosting the first ever ProAm Championship Series event at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington. This event is running in conjunction with the Formula Drift pro championship round 5 ‘Breaking Point’ on August 7th through 8th.
Evergreen Drift is the official local drifting organization of Evergreen Speedway and hosts regular open drift and competition rounds for the Evergreen Drift Championship series. Drifters from all over the Northwest have frequented these events and rapidly increased in skill and competition level with direct access to the Formula Drift spec course. This event is shaping up to have the highest driver count of all ProAm events held so far this year which is a testament to the Northwest’s vibrant drift scene.
The Pro Am competition will feature the top drifters from all over the Northwest including British Columbia, Washington, and Oregon. These drivers are competing for four invitations to the ProAm national finals held at Firebird Raceway in Arizona in December with a chance to earn a Formula Drift professional license. The top three finishers will also receive prizes from series sponsors such as Snap-On, Longacre Racing, and others.
Friday, August 7th will serve as a preview day with both Pro Am and Formula DRIFT Pro Championship practice and qualifying. Saturday, August 8th is the main event and will feature both the Pro Am Top 8 competition and Formula Drift Pro Championship Top 32 competition.
Driver Pre-Registration is $350 and on site day of registration is $500. Online registration is open and all pre-registered drivers will receive a gift certificate to Canyons Restaurant. All registration and event information can be found on www.evergreendrift.com.
