Drifting started back in 2007. My first event was Vegas Drift 007 on the Nellis AFB flightline. I spun out a lot and it wasn’t until my 3rd event that I could hold a drift and start having fun. Since then I have done a lot of upgrades to the stock 1993 240sx I purchased. The car is basically transformed from its previously entity. Every event that I have been has helped me gain a better understanding of a completely dynamic sport which is constantly changing with many factors; Factors being tires, weather, track layout, power bands, auto upgrades, tuning, etc. I believe that I have a love for this sport that will definitely show in my driving in upcoming competitions and events for years to come. My goal as of now is to gain a footing in Formula Drift ProAM series that has been graciously held by our local grassroots company of Vegas Drift. My strive is to be one of the best drifters here in the west coast. With constant improvement of skill from the local drift community and local Formula Drift licensed drivers always around, I would not say it’s a far-fetched goal seeing the pool of resources and the ever growing competition to push driving progression. My drift team, Team Verzus, help each other in motivation and with technical expertise. I think this motorsport will be a long term facet of my life. |
